Hospice care is not only about caring for the individual, but also extends to supporting their loved ones through the hospice journey and beyond.
When a loved one is terminally ill, a person can experience many emotions. Our dedicated bereavement team provides psychosocial and spiritual support throughout the patient’s hospice journey. You may choose this additional support either from a social worker or chaplain depending on personal preferences.
The grieving process is not linear and can be evident even before your loved one passes away. We can provide pre-bereavement services for family, friends, and caregivers during the patient’s hospice stay.
Post bereavement services are provided to family, friends, and caregivers for at least 13 months after your loved one’s passing so that we may provide support through a year of firsts: first holiday season, first birthday, first anniversary, etc. without your loved one.
